Challenge: every loan file arrived in a different format
N90 promises Philippine SMEs fast, fair, flexible financing without the bank headaches. Keeping that promise means reading a borrower’s finances quickly, and the finances arrive as documents.
Bank statements come as scans and printouts from dozens of banks, each with its own layout, and often a different layout per branch of the same bank. Some run newest to oldest, others oldest to newest. Corporate records arrive as SEC General Information Sheets. Then everything is merged into one long PDF, document types jumbled together in no fixed order, at whatever quality the branch scanner produced: skewed pages, faded print, stray characters on every line.
For a lender, each of those pages is a cost. A credit analyst cannot assess a borrower’s cash flow until every transaction is out of the PDF and into a format the analysis can use.
N90’s team either read and encoded those pages by hand or ran them through vendors that broke on anything outside a clean, standard format. The bottleneck was never the credit call. It was getting the documents into a form the credit call could use.
Why Kita: built for Philippine documents, and a team that ships
N90 needed two things a generic tool could not give it. The first was extraction that holds up on Philippine documents as they really arrive: local bank formats across issuers and branches, peso-denominated records, SEC filings, passbook scans.
The second was a partner that moves at a lender’s speed. Since kickoff in February 2026, N90’s credit and engineering teams have worked with Kita in a shared channel, and the pattern has held: bring a new format, it is supported. Ask for a field, it appears.
That includes the questions behind the data. When N90 wanted to know what sat behind the authenticity flags on statements from certain banks, and how much weight to give them, Kita pulled N90’s recent submissions, traced each signal bank by bank, and came back with guidance N90’s credit team could act on.
How it works: lender-spec data, straight from the API
Capture sits inside N90’s lending workflow. More than 98% of N90’s documents reach Kita straight from N90’s own systems through the API, with no one uploading by hand.
Borrower documents go in. Structured data comes out: every transaction on every bank statement, classified and totaled, plus the fields N90 needs from audited financials and SEC filings. The monthly report N90 assesses credit on is built to N90’s own field spec, so names and definitions follow the lender, not the vendor’s defaults.
Every document also comes back with a parse confidence score and authenticity check results, each with a plain-language explanation. N90 tracks those scores in its own alerting, so its team can focus review on the documents that need a second look.

Results: 43,000+ pages, 98.5% processed successfully, faster to a credit decision
Since going live in February 2026, N90 has processed more than 43,000 pages through Capture, across bank statements, audited financial statements and General Information Sheets.
Size is no longer a constraint. N90’s largest borrower files, with bank statements, audited financial statements and SEC filings merged into one PDF, process end to end. General Information Sheets and SEC and DTI registrations run in the same flow.
And the output holds up. 98.5% of N90’s documents have processed successfully, on the hardest Philippine inputs: carried-over balance lines that look like transactions but aren’t, bank codes and reference numbers jammed into the description column, statements in either date order, passbook scans with stray characters on every line.
Kita has cut the time it takes N90 to get a borrower file ready for a credit decision. N90’s team now spends that time on credit judgment instead of manually cleaning up statements.
“I’ve noticed that the passbook parsing is significantly better now. Cleaning up those extra characters made a huge difference.”
What N90 asks for, ships.
N90 and Kita work out of one shared channel. A new bank format, a new field, a question from the credit team: each one gets built on N90’s own files.
- 3hours
A new bank format, live the same day
Some banks issue statements as restricted PDFs. Kita built support on N90’s own files, iterating with N90’s team in real time, and had it in production in 3 hours.
- 8fields
A monthly report built to N90’s spec
Beginning and ending balance, cash inflow and outflow, total credits and debits, plus average daily balance and bounce count, added on N90’s request. Every field calculated the way N90’s credit team defines it.
- 98%
Straight through the API
Nearly every N90 document reaches Kita from N90’s own systems, with no one uploading by hand, and each comes back with its authenticity checks explained in plain language.
Whole borrower files. End to end.
Bank statements, audited financials and SEC filings, jumbled together in one PDF. Each of these improvements now ships to every Kita customer, and the platform scales with them.
